1963 Porsche 356B Super Coupe VIN: 213303 Engine No. 705 818 Gearbox No.63495-741-2A Exterior Color: Ivory (6204 B) Interior Finish: Black Leatherette An original, unrestored car Only 45,581 miles Numbers matching Well maintained and documented According to factory records 213303 was first delivered to a Porsche dealer in Great Britain in March of 1963. At some point, in the next couple of months, the new car made its way to European Cars Ypsilanti in Ypsilanti Michigan, USA. The original Porsche Service Book indicates the first owner, a Mr. Harold V. Stevens of Alma, Michigan, took delivery of the car on July 13, 1963 in the wolverine state. The 356 at the time had only 19 factory test miles. Mr. Stevens owned the little white sports car until October 27, 1973, when he sold it to a lawyer in East Lansing, Michigan, named Christopher Dobyns for $4000. Stevens had driven the car sparingly, and at that time the 356 had just 19,697 miles on the odometer. Dobyns owned the car until June of 1983 when he sold the car to Dr. Rodger Searfoss of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. This time the price was $16,300 and car had only about 22,000 miles on the odometer. Dr. Searfoss ownership lasted about 3 years when he sold the car to GW Motorwerks of Waynesboro, Virginia in September 24, 1987 with 23,102 miles. It was quickly sold to Gordon Barlow of Staunton, VA for $21,250. Barlow owned the car briefly and returned the car to GW less than a year later in May of 1988. Once again GW moved the car quickly, this time to David Fowler of Fairfax Station, VA on June 21,1988 for $25,000. At that point 26,190 miles were showing on the odometer. Fowler was a real 356 enthusiast and was very excited to own such an original, low mileage car. Over the next few years Fowler and his wife drove the car to 356 Registry - PCA events in New England, West Virginia, Michigan, North Carolina, Lake Placid, New York, and Toronto, Canada. By April of 1995 they had rolled up the odometer up to 35,500 miles. Ten years later, in September of 2005 the 356 changed hands once again, this time to Robert Ingram. After 42 years the odometer showed only 45,018 miles. Just over 1000 miles a year. This car can truly be called a survivor. Thanks to the careful stewardship of a series of owners this 356 arrives to us 49 years later in almost the exact condition it left the Porsche factory in 1963. 213303 comes with its original Porsche Service Book (with dealer stamps), Drivers Manual, Maintenance instruction booklet, tools, jack and complete ownership and mileage documentation.
