1965 Porsche 356 SC Coupe VIN: 219-461 Engine: 812 744 Gearbox: 81419-741-20 This 356SC rolled off the assembly line in Zuffenhausen, Germany on August 21, 1964, and was delivered to Porsche Northwest in Portland, Oregon on November 30, 1964. From the day it first tasted asphalt this 356SC featured ruby red paint, black vinyl upholstery as well as optional chrome wheels. Thanks to a meticulous and correct restoration it still shows as it did on that August day back in 1964. The car was recently restored to concours level both cosmetically and mechanically. A real dream team of 356 experts worked on the restoration of this car. Noted 356 restorer Bill King did the paint and body work. Tim Goodrich of Grants Pass, Oregon, generally considered one of the best Porsche 356 specialists in the business, rebuilt the engine. Only three lucky people have owned this numbers matching 356 in the past 47 years, and all of them from the West Coast. A very original SC with only 70,785 miles, it comes with a drivers manual, tools, jack and Kardex. About the 356SC Much more refined than its predecessor, the SC sported a new engine developed under Hans Mezger. The 616-16 power plant was a daring update of the Super 90, featuring aluminum cylinders, a counterweighted crankshaft, and the latest Porsche head design yielding 95 horsepower.
