1965 Porsche 356 C Cabriolet VIN:161970 Engine: P717474 (Type 616-15) 75hp Transmission: 86046 (741-2C) One of the last two hundred 356's built by Porsche Matching numbers Show winning restoration Completely restored in the late 80's and finished in the early 1990's by Porsche expert Dennis Frick of Europa Macchina of Lewisberry, PA. The interior was outsourced to Autos International who restored the full leather upholstery, installed a Hartz top and tonneau, and correct German wool loop pile carpet. Since its restoration the 356C has only been used as a show car, and has been the winner of many awards and concours, including a national first from the AACA. Thanks to its show only use, the Cabriolet has covered only 200 miles in the past 20 years. It recently returned to Europa Macchina where it was fully serviced to make the car completely roadworthy once again, including fuel system, brakes, steering, shocks, battery and new correct Continental tires. A numbers-matching car, the engine and transmission are original to the car, and chassis number stampings can be found on the inner doorframes, the front hood hinge, and rear engine lid. Date stamps on the wheels, window frames and other parts are correct. The car comes equipped with an original Blaupunkt radio, and comes with its owner's manual, jack, and full tool kit with Messko tire gauge.
