Provide ongoing technical and operational (help desk) aid to internal and external customers, with duties including but not limited to:
-Support all systems and desktops that support mission-critical business services; monitor system heath and performance; and analyzing, troubleshoot and repair reported system, desktop and application problems;
-Coordinate referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for servicing
-Install, configure and maintain hardware and software for multiple offices and/or locations;
-Maintain and monitor anti-virus, anti-malware, and anti-spam solutions; and takes steps to identify, troubleshoot and resolve vulnerabilities;
-Work with Developers to support users and maintain in-house applications;
-Maintain and administer various applications used by staff and providing support to multiple remote access users;
-Take first level issues/requests for hardware, software, networking and other computer related technologies;

following up confirming resolution
-Identify, propose, and respond to innovative solutions that maintain or improve the level of service and/or reliability of the infrastructure;
-Provide training and support such as developing procedures, manuals, and FAQs for troubleshooting common problems;
-Assist in maintaining and enhancing the company website using current html languages;
-Assist with research and evaluating and recommends new technologies to meet current and future business needs; and
-Create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures.

2. Assist with server and network support with duties:
-Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot the operation of the organizations networks, intranet and internet connectivity;
-Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory Services and

Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 messaging infrastructures;
-Keeping abreast of new IT technologies, including updates, patches, high profile threats, and new software; and
-Maintain, troubleshoot, and monitor Windows and VMware servers.


3.Maintain and administer telecommunications equipment:
-Maintain, administer and support telephone system NEC UCB Univerge SV8300 PBX, Voicemail, ACD services and supporting applications including Quality Assurance software;
-Configure, install, and troubleshoot user telephones as needed;
-Work with external vendors for support,

maintenance and upgrade as needed;
-Support mobile devices and service associated with devices similar to: Blackberry, iPhone,

iPad, and laptops with mobile telecommunications; and
-Maintain, support, and troubleshoot video conferencing equipment.

4.Repairing and maintain computer hardware and peripheral components with duties including but not limited to:
-Identifying problems and repairing computer hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives;
-Troubleshoot and resolve end-user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers;
-Maintain an inventory of computer components and documenting all repairs/services performed;

-Maintain and document system images; and
-Testing and verifying any updates and/or changes required with current environment and user expectations.


-Keep abreast of new IT technologies, including updates, patches, high profile threats, and new software; and
-Perform other related duties as assigned.


-Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field; or 1 to 2 years experience in a computer operations environment which must have included PC hardware and software support and administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Thorough knowledge and experience in:
-Supporting Microsoft operating systems, including Windows XP/7 and Windows Server 2003/2008;
-Supporting hardware issues related to PC desktops, servers and laptops;
-Supporting Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access, Frontpage, and Visio;

Working knowledge of
-Active Directory, DC design, Schema, OU design, AD replication topology;
- Network security and management, including Cisco routers, VPN and wireless solutions;
-Enterprise anti-virus/anti-spam/anti-malware solutions, including Symantec Endpoint Protection;
-Server, desktop and network administration;
-DNS, DHCP, GPOs, SMTP, WINS, and performance;
-Symantec Ghost, Clonezilla or other system imaging products;
-Hardware encryption, endpoint protection, and dual authentication software;
-Networked printer installation, configuration, and management;
-Commonly used applications in Windows, including Adobe Acrobat, Winzip, GoToMyPC, GoToMeeting, Java, IE, Firefox, FTP, and

-Supporting Exchange 2007;
- Networking devices such as switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless; and mobile devices such as laptops, Blackberry, Palm, and iPhones;
-VMW are Windows and ESX servers preferred;
-Telecommunication systems, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Microsoft Powershell, SQL Server, and html, JavaScript, php and css preferred;

Ability To:

-Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, issues and recommendations to all levels of the organization;
-Use time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize and multi-task duties while adhering to strict deadlines;

-Assume responsibility and exercise good judgment in making decisions within the scope of authority of the position;
-Understand client operating systems, TCP/IP networking principles and troubleshooting techniques;
-Work independently with minimal supervision as well as participate as part of a team;
-Use scripting skills to automate routine tasks;
-Do precise and accurate work in setting up console selections, mounting tapes and other components for proper equipment operations, and the ability to understand the reason(s) for stoppage and indications of errors and failures;
-Maintain and safeguard confidential records and information;


-Ability to sit in front of and operate a video display terminal for extended periods of time; and
-Ability to stand, bend, reach overhead, lift, carry or move objects of varying size weighing up to 50 pounds.
